The installation Jasmine Crown is based on the Jasmine Revolution in Tunisia. Seen from a distance, the flower piece might be mistaken for a bridal arrangement. On closer inspection, the shadow on the floor cast by a spotlight slanted from above reveals the shape of a victory wreath, its origin tracing back to the corona civica. The sweet scent of jasmines filled the space for the entire period of the exhibition. The fragile blossoms had to be replaced on a daily basis, and directed the attention to the theme of continuous destruction and renewal.
Jasmine Crown
